Welcome to the School of Professional and Continuing Education, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (SPACE UTM) portal. SPACE UTM always strive to achieve its vision and mission to be a center of excellence in providing quality continuing educational services based on science and technology through a method that is flexible and customer-friendly.

    Established in 1993, SPACE UTM is a pioneer in continuing education and lifelong learning especially through its Part-time Undergraduate Programmes (PSM). The program employs face-to-face learning method between students and lecturers at 15 learning centres throughout Malaysia. Learning modules and lecturers are exactly the same with the University’s mainstream programmes. PSM programmes have been structured to be flexible and accommodating for the working adults to study and excel. Since its inception, there have been 8,399 graduates and some of them are holding important positions in their organizations.

    SPACE UTM also offers Professional Development Programmes through its Professional Development Unit. In 2007, more than 5,000 participants had participated in programmes such as Short Courses And Workshops, in-house trainings, conferences and professional certificates. In addition, Diploma Executive Programme is offered by the Executive Programme Unit.

    Through its English Language Unit, SPACE UTM offers Intensive English Course for international students. Apart from that, other courses such as the English Communication Skills at the Workplace and General English Course are offered to the public. UTM Degree ++ Programme has received tremendous support from UTM students. In 2007 alone, there were 11,000 students who attended the programme.

As a part of its corporate social responsibility for human capital development in Malaysia, SPACE UTM launched its new product the 'Online Courseware' which offers flexible learning method for the public.

Being a premier university in Engineering and Technology in Malaysia, UTM has vast experience in tertiary education, qualified and experienced lecturers, and world-class facilities. Programmes offered are relevant to the market demand and recognized by Public Services Department and professional bodies.
