GREETINGS FROM UTMSPACE MANAGING DIRECTOR/DEAN

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, in the name of Allah, Most Gracious and Most Merciful

Thank you and welcome to UTMSPACE portal. UTMSPACE portal is designed specifically as a platform to facilitate the community in accessing various information on lifelong learning and the activities that we offer.

Established in 1993, UTMSPACE aims to strengthen the field of continuing education. Technology advances, economic growth, very competitve job market and Malaysia's ambition to become a developed nation by the year 2020 have opened a new chapter towards progress and professionalism among its citizens. This can only be achieved if each citizen has a high level of education. This is the focus of UTMSPACE which is to provide the best possible opportunity in continuing education. After 19 years, UTMSPACE has produced almost 16,000 successful graduates.

Time constraint is the greatest challenge for those who wish to pursue higher education. For working adults, each moment is focused on career and other pertaining matters. UTMSPACE fully understands the situation faced by our customers. With the opening of two Learning Centres in Kota Bharu and Penang, UTMSPACE is now closer to the community. The location for our programme is now very near to students. They no longer have to travel far to attend scheduled classes. Instead, lecturers are specially brought to the designated location to deliver lectures.

As of January 1, 2012, the Kuala Lumpur UTMSPACE Learning Centre and Administrative Division - which were previously located at UTM International Campus - have started operation at our own building at Jalan Tun Razak. It is planned that all classes and student activities will commence at the new building in March 2012. Being strategically located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur and close to public transportation networks, it is more convenient for UTMSPACE students to attend lectures. Better facilities are also available. This latest development proves the commitment of UTMSPACE in providing the best services to its customers.

Adhering to our tagline of Connecting People via Lifelong Learning, UTMSPACE will continue to strive in providing the best service to promote lifelong learning for the betterment of global society. It is the mission of UTMSPACE to continue to lead the development of creative and innovative human capital through quality lifelong education.
